Lobbyist of the Month: Craig Chick
A native Texan, Craig graduated with a B.A. from the University of Texas in ‘96. He worked his way up from campaign politics, as a copy boy at the capitol to doing contract lobby work for a number of fortune 500 companies in various trade associations throughout the state. Craig has amassed over 25 years of experience in Texas politics, including 14 regular and 12 special sessions of the Texas Legislature. He has spent more than 15 years as a senior advisor to Texas House and Senate members such as House Speaker Joe Straus, Senator Kyle Janek and Rep. Fred Bosse.
In 2013, Craig was recognized as a “rising star” on the Texas Lobby Power Rankings published by veteran capitol reporters Capitol Inside. By 2019, Craig rose to the ranks of the top 25.
